- In the high desert of Southern
California, in the remote town of Hesperia, you'll find a classic
golf course that offers players lavish fairways and greens and
legendary holes. Noted architect William F. Bell Jr.
designed Hesperia Golf and Country Club in the late 1950s. And,
in the 1960s Hesperia became a tour stop for the PGA. Gene Littler
set the course record with a 62. Shell's "Wonderful World
of Golf" filmed an episode here during the 1960s.

high ratings to Hesperia, and California Golfer has named it
one of the top 20 toughest courses in the state. A side trip
