The new par 72 Hunter Ranch
Golf Course is located near Paso Robles in the heart of north
San Luis Obispo County's picturesque wine country, just off Highway
101 on East Highway 46. This challenging public course meanders
through stands of century old Blue Oaks, and a sparkling lake
adds to the test which is further defined by the gently rolling
terrain and undulating, well trapped greens. Designed in the
tradition of old classic courses such as Augusta, Cypress Point
and Pebble Beach, you'll find the Hunter Ranch course an easy
walk or pleasant ride down freshly manicured fairways, but challenging
and fun for both novices and skilled players from any of the
three sets of tees.
The
spacious clubhouse reminiscent of the rustic ranch houses in
the Australian Outback provides a special back drop for this
golf couses. Enjoy refreshments while overlooking panoramic vistas
of the golf course and surrounding vineyards. For an overnight
stay, lodging is readily available just minutes away in downtown
Paso Robles or in the charming nearby coastal communities of
San Luis Obispo, Cambria, Morro Bay and San Simeon (home of Hearst
Castle).
Hunter Ranch includes a fully
stocked Pro shop, group barbecue facilities, driving range, practice
putting greens, electric and hand carts, rental clubs, and private
or group lesson by PGA and LPGA professionals.
Hunter Ranch was
developed by Kenneth H. Hunter, Jr., owner of Sandpiper and La
Purisima Golf Courses in nearby Santa Barbara County. The facilities
and services at Hunter Ranch reflect the same high standard of
quality that golfers from around the world have come to expect
at his unique layouts. Hospitality is highlighted by a nominal
replay fee, that makes playing 2 rounds almost mandatory. |
